Are you feeling stuck, confused and lost? Do you feel hopeless in your relationships? Do you feel trapped in your childhood trauma?
As a result of healing myself from my own childhood trauma of sexual abuse, I now specialise in supporting others as they navigate the confusion of living with trauma.
Trauma is so much more than the obvious ones we think about. Having caregivers that were overwhelmed, in crisis because of their health or financial issues, losing grandparents, hospitalisations as a child etc, can all lead to serious trauma.
I use a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches: Family Systems Theory, Inner Family Systems (IFS), Reparenting/Inner Child work, CBT, DBT, Somatic practices, and also my own practical common sense approach through raising my 6 children in a home learning environment and more recently taking care of elderly parents. I work from a transpersonal perspective which means having awareness of the bigger picture, we are more than our personal stories. Part of this awareness also involves learning about our roots, our family history.
I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (#2094) and look forward to working with you and compassionately “shining light on the adversity” in your life; adversities become windows to living magnificently!
